grew up with a camera around my neck, a notebook under my arm, and a story in my head. Whether it was performing live newscasts in front of my family, animating stop motion videos out of board game pieces, or producing music videos with my friends - there was always a new medium to discover.
Coupled with a strong sense of justice and a desire to focus on the facts (that probably stemmed from my early years of reading encyclopedias and watching Forensic Files) - I earned a Bachelor of Arts from Hofstra University in Broadcast Journalism. Through various internships, volunteer work, and jobs I dipped my hands into every creative field I could find - television production, music production, fine art, design, print writing, digital writing, you name it. I even tried a few more technical roles in the fields of mental health, finance, and accounting.
It wasn't until I found the world of Content Marketing that my left and right brain connected and my world aligned. I found a field that allowed me to marry the creative process with data analysis in a way that I am passionate about. As consumer’s interests and tastes change so do my methods - which means every day I get the opportunity to experiment, learn, and create. What I love most, is taking various sources of data – heatmaps, Google Analytics, etc. – and using that information to implement strategies that enhance the customer experience. Best part? It’s a field that transcends all industries - which means there is no limit to the work I can create!
As I continue to blossom in my career and both adapt and strengthen the skills in my toolbelt, I make sure I remember what got me here: a passion for sharing the truth and creating something of meaning. It is this mindset that keeps me reliant on ethics, strategy, and human interest to help others tell stories that resonate, connect, and even change perspectives.
