Every February since its creation in 2009, 75,000 modernist enthusiasts from across the world head to the mecca of modernism, Palm Springs California, to celebrate mid-century architecture and design during Modernism Week.
Natural Retreats was honored to have multiple homes featured in this 10-day event for 3 years in a row and we wanted to share Modernism Week via their perspective. To do this I decided to create an evergreen blog that would be updated annually with information on Natural Retreats’ participation and stories behind the homes themselves.
The blog featured three of the most prominent homes that were included in Modernism Week: Frank Sinatra’s Twin Palms Estate, On The Rocks, and Villa Sierra also known as, “That Pink Door”. In it, I discuss what it is about this home that makes them a part of modernist history and what events each home would be featured in, with information on how guests can get involved.
The article was released through an email that highlighted the event and the three featured homes, encouraging readers to click on to learn more.
I utilized social media to bring awareness to our involvement in the event by posting to all of our social media channels and sharing our content with targeted audiences who are interested in Modernism Week. I also tagged and shared posts with Modernism Week’s social media to cross-promote their content.
