To educate prospective and current guests in a visually compelling manner, on important details regarding the Sundance Film Festival. As an evergreen piece, I wanted it to be designed in a way that it could be updated with new data every subsequent year. This was to be sent as an email and converted into a blog post.
The largest independent film festival in the United States, Sundance Film Festival takes place every January throughout Park City and into Salt Lake City. Bringing in over 40,000 film enthusiasts, artists, and filmmakers from around the world this festival seeks to advance the work of filmmakers and artists. Natural Retreats hosts many of the staff, participants, and attendees of the festival in their large collection of private homes and condos.
Considering the breadth of the event, it is hard to find quick answers on Sundance Instuite’s website so we created a quick cheat sheet that highlighted the key points of the festival for our audience that guests could even refer back to during the festival. After collecting questions asked by guests and combining them with the top searches, I wrote out the information and drew a rough sketch of how the information should be connected and laid out. Natural Retreats’ lead graphic designer created each element of the infographic and used the Sundance Festival’s palette of colors to help readers quickly identify and connect with the piece.
