I love the wild entities that make up Utah and I especially like learning about them. One way I do this is through scientific illustrations. This method gives the opportunity to focus on the details of different species and learn about how they interact with the world. There are over 1000 different species of native bees in Utah alone so this is just a tiny selection of different bees you will find in Utah. I hand drew each bee in illustrator as well as hand created the "Bees" font, the rest was designed in InDesign.
I tell stories with words, stills, paint, ink, and sometimes food. Best ones are told with a cat in my lap & a glass of vino in hand.
